Following a detailed study, a certain number of bunkers have been selected in order to improve strategy and the overall visual impact. The majority of bunkers were built in the 1920`s, long before the presence of trees on the course. The bunkers concerned have become obsolete for good players and very penal for the average club player.

Born and educated in the UK, Stuart Hallett has been residing in France since 1998.
After studying Golf Course Management, he developed his greenkeeping career on prominent french courses including St-Cloud and St-Germain. Following in the steps of the very first greenkeepers, he embarked on a seemingly natural evolution into golf architecture. Studies of past masters and classic courses gave the necessary motivation to attempt the selection process for studies of golf course architecture in Edinburgh, Scotland. He successfully completed a professional diploma course (PG Dip GCD) in 2005, accredited by the European Institute of Golf Course Architects (EIGCA). His working philosophy blends the fundamental design principles found on classic courses and the professional standards of modern day architecture.
