The understanding and intelligent use of existing landforms are prerequisite to the appearance of naturalness, and form a template for distinct artistry. This overriding factor is supported by science and various artistic tools to produce a unique and functional design. The intent to move away from standardized courses of an artificial nature is governed by fundamental design principles, essential for variety and enduring charm. The golf course should exude intrigue and natural beauty, thus justifying its existence.
The three recognized schools of design (Heroic, Penal & Strategic) are employed to obtain optimal interest for the golfer. Strategic options are favored to encourage playing options and hole longevity. Finally, the craftsmanship is considered paramount to respect the architect's intent. The construction phase is supervised and guided with all the necessary knowledge of architecture, greenkeeping & construction. |
